Extras
In addition to our core services, we offer a range of extra services that can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Most of these services can be available on their own or as add-ons, providing you with additional support, customisation, and creative options for your facility.

Paint-on surgical caps
Add a creative touch to the project by offering children and young people the opportunity to decorate their own surgical caps. We can provide plain black and white caps, which can be used for arts and crafts activities, allowing children to paint their own designs. The matching caps worn by staff will already have colour on them.
Weighed stuffed animals
These sensory toys are designed to provide comfort to children undergoing surgery or medical treatment. Weighed stuffed animals can help soothe and calm children by offering gentle, comforting pressure, similar to a weighted blanket. These weighed animals will be available with the same designs as the caps, so the staff can still match them with their own caps.
Customised surgical caps
Have caps made with the project's name (Little Platypus initiative), staff names, or any other custom label. This can be a great way to personalise the caps for your staff as part of a 'My name is...' initiative. This extra is only available as an ad-on to the Little Platypus initiative.
Miniature caps for the patient's plushie or doll.
We offer miniature caps designed for plush toys or dolls, which may be particularly helpful and comforting for children with neurodiversity or those who may be hesitant or uncomfortable wearing the surgical caps themselves.
